The Role:
• Recognising and cooperating legal obligations concerning to design, construction and workplace occupational safety
• Communicating and directing the adoption of engineering best practices in health and safety.
• Offering health and safety leadership to the operations management
• Detecting H&S training needs across the workplace
• Implementing safe employee work practices through relationship building
• Liaising in the investigation of incidents ensuring corrective actions are outlined and implemented to eliminate future risk
• Monitoring and reporting on health and safety performance and challenges
• Ensuring all sites are managed in a manner that will result in positive Client Audits and third-party accreditation audits in safety management systems standards (OHSAS 18001)

• Recognised 3rd Level Qualification in Health & Safety
• Seeking to be a Chartered member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health)
• Experience of Safety and Health principles with proven technical skills in occupational safety and health disciplines would be an advantage.
• Evidence of a strong interest in pursuing a career in the field of design, construction and workplace safety
• Excellent communicator and persuasive in relation to safety as a priority on site
• Competent in report writing
