Payroll Specialist – Waterford

Euro Executive Recruitment are growing our operation in Waterford and we have an opening for a Payroll Specialist to work within our group finance function. The role will report to our Group Financial Controller and will be ideal for a candidate used to working in a fast paced environment running a weekly payroll in excess of 500 workers. We want to find someone who wants to grow and progress naturally with us as our business grows.

Key Responsibilities:
Your new role will develop into a team lead position as we currently have 2 part time team members so once you get a good understanding of how our business works you will become the main escalation point for any payroll queries that come in as well as preparation and consolidation of the payroll. The ability to work on your own initiative is paramount for success. You will be running a growing payroll for over 500 hourly rate workers on a weekly basis. This involves processing of timesheets, manual calculations and a great eye for detail.

Experience & Skills:
You will hold a relevant payroll qualification and ideally have experience working in a high volume stand-alone or team lead role. An Accounting Technician qualification or similar will be beneficial but not essential. Ability to deliver results in a fast moving environment coupled with a desire to succeed in an organisation which is strongly customer focussed. Knowledge of and experience of Micropay payroll system is essential. You will have an awareness of PAYE modernisation coming online in January 2019. Knowledge of SAGE 50 Accounts and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. You will have an understanding of Revenue payroll and RCT requirements.
