This year’s theme is ‘Youth Engagement for Global Action’, one that we find to be very fitting and a testament to the resilience, strength and willpower of the youth of today.

This position requires that an individual be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment, as well as possess excellent problem-solving skills, superior organisational and communication skills and the highest level of discretion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation and Submittal of Monthly Valuations including additional Works
Preparation of the Monthly/Weekly Cost/Value Reports
Procurement of Materials and Sub-Contractors
Managing Sub-Contractors Accounts
Re-measurement of Completed Works
Estimating & assisting in the Preparation of Tender Submittals
Management and Preparation of Weekly Wage roll
Liaising with the internal Plant Department and Monitoring Plant Costs

Junior Site Engineer – Cork

Euro Executive Recruitment has been retained by one of Cork’s residential developers to recruit a Site Engineer for a project in East Cork with at least 1 years’ experience in the industry.

The Role:

As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for setting out and levelling the site.
You will be responsible for the overall surveying of the site.
You will as a Site Engineer plan work efficiently ensuring strict deadlines are met.
You will oversee quality control and safety measures on-site.
The Site Engineer will resolve unexpected technical difficulties and you will deal with any problems which arise.
You will as a site engineer supervise and monitor the site labour force along with liaising with subcontractors.
You will be working with a market-leading Construction Company and expected to maintain its high standards.

Requirements:

You will have a 3rd level qualification in Engineering.
As a site engineer, you will portray strong technical ability and management skills.
You will have strong problem-solving skills and show calmness under pressure.
You will integrate well as part of a well-run team.
A site engineer must have commercial awareness
You must have over 1 year of experience working in the industry.

Graduate Ecologist – Cork

Provides design and contract management services for the construction of infrastructure projects such as roads, bridgeworks, rail, solid waste facilities, renewable energy, drainage, water and wastewater treatment facilities, airports, tunnels and gas pipelines.
Looking to recruit a Graduate Ecologist who will work as an integral member of the Energy and Planning team in the Cork, Dublin or Carlow office, aiding the expansion of the Energy and Planning business and working closely with fellow professionals. The position will suit candidates with a minimum of one year of experience. This position offers exposure to a broad range of areas within the renewable energy, waste management and civil infrastructure sectors as they have a broad spectrum of ongoing projects and can offer the successful candidate a clear path for career development.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Level 8 degree in ecology, environmental science or a related discipline
Field skills in ornithology with previous experience of conducting surveys for renewable energy projects
Ecological field skills, highlighting any specialist ecological expertise (either academic or interest)
Knowledge of a range of environmental issues, fundamental to the preparation of high quality, ecological impact assessments
Preparing reports such as Environmental Impact Statements or Appropriate Assessments
Working as part of a high functioning team
Well organised with excellent attention to detail while also being able to manage their own workload
Ability to manage several priorities at once will be required as will a high level of commitment to success
Full clean drivers licence
The Graduate Ecologist will, amongst other things, be responsible for:
Undertaking background research, desk studies and ecological fieldwork and impact assessment reporting, to best-practice guidelines and methodologies
Preparing and compiling ecological assessments
Undertaking ecological assessments and surveys, from inception to completion
Liaising with client representatives and project managers to progress projects effectively
Finding solutions to ecological challenges on projects
Engaging with relevant authorities and stakeholders in ecological projects
Delivering high-quality outputs within set deadlines
Reporting (prepare and/or compile information for Environmental Impact Statements and Appropriate Assessments)

Project Engineer – Sweden

The successful candidate will have an Electrical qualification and previous experience working with a main contractor in Ireland.
