January Monthly Round-Up 2022

As the country is beginning to witness some light at the end of the tunnel when it comes Covid-19 pandemic, we are looking forward to seeing what the upcoming months have in store and recapping last month’s events with our January Monthly Round-Up 2022.

After almost 2 years in lockdown Ireland has formulated its plan for ending the majority of the restrictions within the country and devised a plan as to how we are going to live alongside the disease for the future.

While the majority of restrictions have been relaxed and the phased return of workers to the office is now a reality, it remains business as usual for our consultants at AA Euro Group.

Here is our January Monthly Round-Up 2022:

Even following the relaxation of restrictions, the majority of Irish business leaders do not foresee a full-scale return to offices in the near future with many believing the end of 2022 a more realistic target.

Irish construction workers are set to receive a minimum increase in wages by 3% as the industry continues its recruitment for workers while demand continues to sky-rocket.

In a recent poll we conducted through our LinkedIn, the major career goal for 60% of workers in 2022 was to find a new job closely followed by improving their current skillset.

Strong demand for remote working practices remains in place following the recent lifting of nearly all restrictions in Ireland as 90% of 35-44 year olds desire to work from home.

A surge in construction activity in Q3 2021 has resulted in labour shortages within the sector as activity in both commercial and residential construction increased towards the end of 2021.
