AA Euro Group has been retained to assist in the recruitment of a Chief Operating Officer to be based out of our clients operations in either Cork, Limerick or Kerry.
The person will report directly into the board of management, and assume operational responsibility for the company.
The company are involved heavily involved in the Utility and Electrical sector. With work across Ireland, they boast an impressive client portfolio.

The Role:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for managing the company`s operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of services to our clients, and driving operational excellence throughout the organization. The role will involve overseeing all operational functions, developing strategic initiatives, managing day-to-day operations, and optimising productivity and profitability across various projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the CEO and other executive team members to define and execute the companys strategic vision.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with company goals, focusing on scalability and long-term growth.
  • Ensure efficient project delivery, compliance with quality standards, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Optimise the allocation of resources, managing budgets, workforce, and operational assets.
  • Evaluate financial performance, analyse trends, and implement corrective measures where necessary.
  • Maximize profitability while maintaining a high standard of service.
  • Lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Proactively address potential challenges, mitigate risks, and navigate industry changes.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the utilities, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex operational challenges.
  • Adaptability to changing market conditions and evolving client needs.
