About the Role:
AA Euro Group have been retained to seek an experienced Materials and Logistics Controller to join our client`s dynamic team at a power/data centre plant in Dublin. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and transportation of materials to support ongoing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics or materials management, exceptional organisational skills, and a current forklift licence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Materials Coordination:
  • Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment on-site.
  • Ensure accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks and audits.
  • Oversee the organisation and layout of storage areas for maximum efficiency.
  • Logistics Planning:
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and transport teams to optimise delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and manage freight costs, ensuring compliance with budget requirements.
  • Operational Support:
  • Liaise with project managers and site supervisors to forecast material requirements.
  • Ensure the safe handling and movement of equipment and materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials, deliveries, and logistics activities.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Adhere to all site health and safety standards, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Conduct regular equipment checks, including forklifts, to ensure safe operations.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and waste management regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a materials/logistics coordination role, preferably within the construction, power, or data centre sectors.
  • A valid forklift licence is essential.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems and logistics planning.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to materials handling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and relevant inventory management software.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

  • Certification or qualification in logistics, supply chain, or materials management.
  • Experience working on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
