About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for a power generation station in Dublin. This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative and efficient engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed mechanical designs and specifications for power generation equipment and systems.
• Create 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation using CAD software.
• Conduct engineering calculations, simulations, and feasibility studies to ensure optimal system performance.
• Collaborate with electrical and project engineers to integrate mechanical designs with other systems.
• Support the selection of materials and components based on project requirements.
• Perform design reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning phases.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing design improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor`s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably within the power generation or heavy engineering sector.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with power generation equipment such as engines, turbines, or generators is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
