Euro Executive Recruitment has been retained by an internationally renowned main contractor to recruit an experienced MEP Mechanical Lead BAS (BMS) to cover and manage all mechanical & electrical aspects of a large scale project in Sweden.
Mechanical orientation preferable with full working knowledge of Building Automation Systems, data centre experience required.

The Role:
- To align MEP activities so they are completed in a safe manner ensuring the Health and Safety of all stakeholders is kept to the forefront of any decisions made or works executed
- To lead by example and ensure all stakeholders are made aware of Company specific Health & Safety policies and procedures and ensure that Health & Safety forms a key part of any discussions
- To be fully aware of and ensure that all stakeholders are aware of the existence of any hazardous energies and any site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out) around these sources of energy
- To have a full working knowledge of the project Telecommunications, EPMS, BAS (BMS) Networks and Security Systems and to track systems installation to ensure it is compliant with specification and program needs
- To have an understanding of project specific commissioning requirements and to assist in the development of project specific Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs) for the execution of scope specific to Telecommunications, EPMS, BAS (BMS) Networks and Security Systems
- On-going monitoring of the project engineering process to ensure compliance and mentoring of the project engineers when required.
- Ensure the design management process is followed, by either taking on the role directly or appointing an individual responsible for this role.
- Ensure the Commissioning lead process is followed, by either taking on the role directly or appointing an individual responsible for this role.
- Structured mentoring of the graduate engineers in line with plan agreed with Engineering Manager.
- Assist the Management Team in resolving any significant technical issues that cannot be resolved on site.
- Monthly progress reporting to the Manager.
- Prepare technical and contract documentation for issue and analysing returned tenders.
- Keeping up to date the delivery schedule to control deliveries
- Seeking to clarify queries with the Design team through request for information (RFI) system
- Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports
- Producing look ahead programs to assist production.
- Carrying out Quality Control through inspections and snagging
- Carrying out document control, recording & transmitting information
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- A minimum of 4 years site experience working on BAS (BMS) preferable with previous Data Centre/Pharma/Semi Conductor experience.
- The ability to work on your own initiative and to manage inputs from a range of specialist suppliers and in-house staff.
- Knowledge of client, vendor & contractor interaction & management
- Positive, a good communicator with the capability to work well with others in a multifunctional project team
- Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy
