Construction Recruitment Consultant (Internal)

Euro Executive Recruitment has been retained to recruit an experienced Construction Recruitment Consultant for our client, a Top 10 Global building contractor with a group turnover of in excess of €30 billion. This role will be based in our client`s central London office, reporting to the Head of HR. Excellent opportunity for an experienced Recruitment Consultant with a strong understanding of the Construction industry to join a very progressive global employer.


  • On notification of a vacancy identify and clarify all hiring requirements meeting with hiring managers, draw up accurate and detailed job descriptions.
  • Advertise vacancies as appropriate including on LinkedIn, job boards, job centres as required by Strategic Labour Needs and Training (SLNT) commitments, agencies, etc. Liaise with the Recruitment Agencies/ Headhunting Firms as and when necessary.
  • Conduct direct search through LinkedIn and other sources.
  • Pre-screen applications, carry out phone screening with all candidates as an initial step of the interview process and determine appropriate subsequent steps with hiring managers.
  • Prepare shortlists for managers, conduct face to face interviews with candidates and carry out reference checks.
  • Collect interview feedback from interviewers and hiring managers during the interviews.
  • Carry out weekly meetings with hiring managers.
  • Complete all recruitment related administration. Maintain records of applicants for vacancies and details of interviews held. File all associated documents for successful applications on the HR shared drive.
  • Manage the weekly recruiting report containing all current positions and a list of candidates in the pipeline to be sent to HR and to be reviewed on a weekly basis with the Head of HR.
  • Establish salary ranges/benchmarking, prepare all documents required for appointments including sending requests for approval with backup documentation, issue regret letters and respond to all enquiries.
  • Implement strategies to identify, attract and hire high quality employees. Provide input on best sourcing channels. Source active and passive candidates through networking, cold calling, advertisements, job fairs and internet research.
  • Visit project and regional office locations throughout the UK and Ireland as required.


  • Experience in a recruitment role with extensive stakeholder management.
  • Ability to source and recruit for any business needs anywhere within the UK & Ireland.
  • University degree.
  • Direct sourcing experience, proven ability to utilise various sourcing channels.
  • Ability to demonstrate volume direct hiring delivery.
  • Sound experience of screening and interviewing candidates for all level roles.
  • A sound knowledge of the principles of recruitment.
  • A working knowledge of employment legislation policies and procedures.
  • Experience in Engineering/Construction industry.
  • Previous experience in an in-house role is desirable.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, time management and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and discretely with staff and candidates.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with Recruitment Agencies & Headhunting Firms.
  • Experience with MS Office and good IT skills. Experience working with main Job portals and recruitment ATM platforms.
  • Excellent administration, organization skills and attention to detail
