We continue to progress through the summer months and are looking forward to seeing what the upcoming months have in store with the July Monthly Round-Up.

While there have been concerns with the new strain of the virus, we have seen a further easing of restrictions. Outdoor events can now hold up to 200 people and there is no limit to the amount of fully vaccinated people who can visit each other. International travel is also set to resume with the introduction of the EU Digital COVID Certificate.

As people have continued to operate from their remote working setting, it is business as usual for our recruitment consultants.

There is a positive economic outlook for Ireland as businesses and consumers are much more upbeat, with 15% of firms increasing employment over the past 3 months. Economic sentiment held steady in June as the post-Covid reopening took hold, according to a Bank of Ireland survey.

Tanaiste Leo Varadkar outlines the development of data centres within Ireland provides both a real strategic advantage for the Republic and a real dilemma in the short term given their energy demands. The data is hugely valuable to the establishment of such centres that could effectively anchor large companies to the State.
