May Monthly Round-Up 2021

Summer has officially started and we are looking forward to what the upcoming months are going to have in store with our May Monthly Round-Up. 

We are again grateful to see a further easing of restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Shoppers have seen the reintroduction of non-essential retail stores and countrywide travel has also been reinstated. The nation will now sit in wait with the reopening of the hospitality sector set to be announced.

Even though restrictions have prevented us from returning to the office, it is business as usual for our recruitment consultants and we expect that a return is imminent.

Ireland’s oldest city is set to experience a ‘Zoom town’ revolution. Waterford is aiming to capitalize on its “cost competitiveness” according to Michael Walsh, chief executive of Waterford City & County Council. Waterford is aiming to persuade workers to make base in the southeast whilst the pandemic is still affecting everyday work life.

With the highly anticipated reintroduction of outdoor dining set to be announced, Cork City Council is aiming to support its hospitality sector. New funds are being financed through Failte Ireland and applied by Cork City Council to its hospitality sector. Capital of up to €4000 will be provided to these businesses to support the introduction of outdoor dining. This will aid in financing the purchase of materials for the Cork Hospitality sector.   

Working from home is currently playing a major role in people’s lives around the country. Recently, we asked our LinkedIn followers if they have any plan or routine that helps them manage their tasks on a weekly basis.
