Meet the Recruitment Expert 2020: Darren O’Keeffe

As part of our monthly activities we would like to offer you the chance to meet some of our most valued recruitment experts. This month we would like to introduce you to Darren O’Keeffe, a consistent performer and a valued member of the AA Euro Group team. He has been with the company over 3 years. His friendly, approachable manner makes him the ideal consultant when liaising with clients and candidates.

We asked Darren to tell us a little bit more about himself…

DARREN O’KEEFFE, SENIOR RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT

I have been working with AA Euro Executive since June 2017 so I have just completed 3 years with the company. I initially began as a resourcer and came in quite green to the recruitment environment and construction sector in general. In time and with a great deal of support from my colleagues I have grown into the company and am now working as a Senior Consultant. I joined the company straight after I finished up college and have thankfully been a part of the companies growing success since. I enjoy my role as no two days are the same and the constant friendly interaction with both clients and candidates is also enjoyable.

Passions

I am sports mad and have had a go at playing a lot but currently just playing rugby with my hometown club Crosshaven RFC.

Skills/Education

I began my studies doing a level 7 in Sport Recreation and Leisure before moving onto doing a level 8 in Business Studies all in CIT.

Ambition

I like to think that I have grown in the company over the last 3 years and my future ambitions would be to continue to further develop through the organisation.

Favourite TV Show

I am not a huge TV fan as I find it hard to commit to series and things. I did watch the last dance documentary recently and was hooked on it.

Favourite Motivational Quote

Favourite Book

I wouldn’t read when in school when I was supposed to so its no shock that it isn’t a major a pastime of mine now. I did recently purchase Daniel Davey’s cook book “Eat up Raise your game” this came in very handy during lockdown.

Thoroughly enjoy a surf and turf
