[Updated] Cork Office Fire Incident
Please note that following our recent fire incident we have returned to full operations and have moved into our new office building. You can find out more about our new location here.
Following the fire incident at our Cork Office on Friday, 5th November, we would like to assure all of our clients and candidates that operations will continue as normal.
A note from our Operations Director, Denis Casey, outlining the steps we have taken to ensure that our operations remain unaffected.
In the early morning of Friday, 5th November, a fire incident occurred at the Euro Executive Recruitment office at Cork House, Pouladuff Road, Cork. Crews from Anglesea Street and Ballincollig stations responded to the fire alarm after 6 am and successfully extinguished the fire later that morning.
Thankfully, there had been no injuries, and we are incredibly grateful that our employees, and those of the companies that share our building, are safe and well. We are also grateful to the Fire Brigade for their trojan work in extinguishing the fire.
We have been made aware that significant damage has occurred to both the roof and the upper floors of the building, meaning that we will not have use of our building for quite a number of weeks as repairs commence in the coming days.
Business as Usual
As soon as AA Euro Group was made aware of the fire incident, our contingency planning took effect and our office network was informed of the situation. Additionally, our Cork team was instructed to resume work on a remote basis.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, our business already has a robust remote working infrastructure in place, so this was a seamless transition for all members of staff, who are already well accustomed to working from home.
With that in mind, we also hope to have a temporary office in place for our Cork team by the end of this week.
While operations at our Cork office are on pause, for now, our Cork operations continue, business as usual, and we are happy to say that our leading recruitment solutions remain unaffected.
