Estimator

AA Euro Group are seeking an experienced Estimator on behalf on a main contractor looking to grow their pre-construction team in Dublin. The company delivers a wide range of large scale residential and mixed use developments across Dublin city and surrounding areas, including apartment schemes, high-density housing, commercial units, and urban regeneration projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator who wants to work on high profile projects with a well-established contractor that has a strong pipeline of work and long-term career progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for residential and mixed-use construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to identify project requirements and risks.
• Carry out quantity take offs and pricing exercises across all trade packages.
• Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Liaise with the commercial, design, and operations teams during the tender process.
• Assist in value engineering exercises and cost planning activities.
• Prepare tender adjudication documents and present pricing reviews internally.
• Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Maintain an up to date database of subcontractor pricing and market rates.
• Monitor market conditions, inflation trends, and material pricing within the Irish construction sector.
• Support handover processes from pre-construction to delivery teams following project award.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related construction discipline.
• 3+ years experience in an Estimating role with a Main Contractor or large subcontractor.
• Strong understanding of residential and mixed-use construction projects.
• Experience preparing competitive tenders for projects of varying scale and complexity.
• Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of current Irish construction market rates and subcontractor networks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software packages.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
