Quantity Surveyor

My client is a leading Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy based in Dublin and due to their ongoing success and recently being awarded numerous projects, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Duties:
- Lead in the delivery of commissions secured by the practice with the intention for your responsibilities to develop to manage entire commissions and clients in the short/medium term.
- Lead in the development and enhancement of the service delivery methodology and supporting systems and tools.
- The delivery of commissions secured by the practice will include the following:
- oConducting background research, data collection and benchmarking.
- oEstimating and producing cost estimates and cost plans.
- oCompiling and amending tender lists.
- oDrafting procurement documentation.
- oPreparing detailed bills of quantities and measurement of construction.
- oChecking and analyzing tenders.
- oDrafting tender reports.
- oDealing with variations and the change control processes.
- oNegotiating financially significant or complex matters.
- oConducting cost checks.
- oConducting interim valuations.
- oDrafting monthly reports.
- oAnalyzing the numbers for the final accounts.
- oWritten reports for clients.
- oConstruction dispute resolution.
- oManaging internal quality controls.
- Allocating and utilizing resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a co-operative, motivated and successful QS team.
- Ensure that process and procedures are implemented by all QS Teams. Assist in day-to-day operations of business including Marketing, HR, Facilities Management, Client Care, IT and QA Compliance as required etc.
Requirements:
- Civil Engineering/PM/Construction Management Degree.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
- Excellent written and communication skills with an ability to produce clear and accurate project reports.
- Experience in developing and analyzing project programmes using Microsoft Project or similar tools.
- Ability to chair project meetings and produce accurate meeting minutes.
- A good understanding of the Statutory Consents and Building Control Regulations processes.
- Ability to work on own initiative and the flexibility to adapt to client and project changes.
