Senior Engineer

My client is a highly reputable Tier 2 Main Contractor who are currently working closely with the Dublin City Council to deliver Social Housing Projects.
Due to their continued success, they are seeking a Senior Engineer to join their Project in Lucan which consists of 85 Apartments.
Duties:
- Responsible for supporting the Project Manager with the day to day running of the project.
- Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
- Review detailed design, critique and communicate with designers to ensure adequate design is available for construction.
- Coordinate the development of design from designer`s details to approved workshop drawings or technical information from subcontractors.
- Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.
- Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure program targets are achieved.
- Ordering and control of materials on site.
- Maintaining the site records and records of discussions/meetings with designers and subcontractors.
- Good self-management, accuracy in own work, elimination of re-work and contractual awareness.
- Checking plans, drawings and supervision of setting out coordination.
- As an Engineer, you will be responsible for setting out and levelling of sites.
- The Engineer will resolve unexpected technical difficulties and you will deal with any problems which arise.
- Attending regular meetings with clients, architects and consultants, and keeping them informed of progress.
- Quality management and BCAR co-ordination
- Overseeing quality control and safety matters on the site and ensuring that regulations are adhered to.
- Supervise direct staff and sub-contractors.
- Handle technical queries when necessary and interface with the client, consultant and architect in regards to RFIs.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Engineering
- 5+ Years of experience
- Confident in supervising site works
- Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
