Recruiting on behalf of a Leading European Marine Civil Engineering Contractor
AA Euro Group is recruiting for an experienced Immersion Pontoon Supervisor / Marine Operations Supervisor on behalf of one of Europe’s leading Marine Civil Engineering and Heavy Infrastructure Construction companies. This is a key offshore leadership role, reporting directly to the IP Works Manager and working closely with the Immersion Master to deliver complex immersion pontoon and offshore operations safely and efficiently.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile marine infrastructure projects across Europe, ensuring operational excellence, technical coordination, and full compliance with QHSE-S standards.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising immersion pontoon and IVY offshore operations. You will play a central role in translating execution strategies into actionable offshore plans while optimising marine and technical interfaces across multiple stakeholders.
You will ensure works are executed in line with project objectives, operational planning requirements, budget controls and safety standards.
Candidate Requirements
Professional Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in marine operations in roles such as Marine Superintendent or Vessel Superintendent
- Engineering degree in a maritime-related discipline (Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or similar), ideally with structural or mechanical expertise
- Shipyard experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office and maritime safety management software

- Vessel & Project Requirements
Candidates must possess, or be able to obtain:
- Valid passport
- Valid medical fitness/health certificate
- Basic offshore safety training including Sea Survival and First Aid (STCW or BOSIET certification)
- All documentation required to board vessels and work on assigned offshore projects
Key Responsibilities
- Translate project execution strategies into structured operational plans and daily schedules, maintaining a proactive 3-day look-ahead.
- Ensure timely availability of vessels, personnel, equipment, and materials, adapting plans as needed.
- Coordinate effectively across marine, offshore, and technical teams to achieve project milestones.
- Lead and oversee the safe and efficient execution of immersion pontoon and IVY offshore operations.
- Plan, organise, and direct transfer and marine operations, ensuring compliance with procedures and safety standards.
- Supervise technical scope of works, manage subcontractors, and coordinate maintenance and repairs to minimise operational risk.
- Monitor performance, productivity, and KPIs, implementing corrective actions to address deviations.
- Drive continuous improvement while ensuring strict adherence to QHSE-S, safety, and regulatory requirements.
